Interactive Business Development Manager
Plonka Interactive is seeking a polished, enthusiastic Interactive Business Development Manager with experience in interactive marketing to join the team in Plano, Texas. The Business Development Manager will function as the primary source of new clients as well as existing client retention.
Job Description:
- Creatively find clients where our marekting, creative and technology skills would greatly improve their business
- Be comfortable with prospecting
- Strong – but not aggressive – closing ability
- Take accounts through the full sales process, listening to and incorporating communication from the client as well as the Plonka team
- Understand and pursue existing client retention and upselling
- Understand and proactively seek solutions to advance project, client and agency goals
- Work within budget, timeline and resources parameters
- Continuously pursue knowledge of new industry practices and relevant technologies
- Maintain knowledge of all software involved increative production – you need to know how we produce our solutions

Desired Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of interactive marketing account management/business development experience, preferably in an agency setting, selling to corporate clients for projects such as client websites, online advertising, SEO/SEM and social media
- Excellent writing skills – you’ll be writing proposals, emails and other prospect/client communications as necessary
- Strong command of the digital and social media space – you must understand how Plonka Interactive deploys strong practices, innovative concepts and results-generating procedures and technologies
- Understanding of the end user experience – we provide solutions
- Very strong interpersonal and client (both internal and external) presentation skills
- Brand-building strategy – pursue the best clients for Plonka Interactive’s unique solutions
- Ability to recognize, understand and utilize prospect and client traits
- Ability to work within primary target market
- Able to quickly develop a working knowledge of new and complex concepts
- Stellar planning, organizing and negotiating skills
- Polished and confident appearance
- Able to motivate colleagues and co-workers yet take constructive criticism and guidance
- Be a team player
- Know how to communicate sensitive/difficult information with tact and respect
- Good judgment and excellent reasoning
- Work well under pressure and juggle competing deadlines on multiple projects
