Senior Interactive Applications Programmer
Plonka Interactive is looking for an experienced Senior Interactive Applications programmer at our office in Plano, Texas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for architectural support and vision for current and new applications
- Beginning with strategic plan, confirm site objectives by analyzing and validating user requirements, identifying new features and functionality and streamlining and upgrading existing features
- Plan web applications by evaluating user specifications; analyzing existing and proposed systems
- Create planning documents for system plans and overviews including set-up, scripts, hardware, network, database development, security, server management, installation and preparing systems development life cycle
- Integrate applications by studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, databases, search engines and information servers
- Assess web applications by planning and conducting tests, modifying program sequence and or debugging code, resolving problems
- Identify possible improvements in existing projects and implement them when possible
Current technologies used:
- Expertise in Web, Mobile and Facebook Apps
- ASP.NET Webforms, MVC, C#, VB.NET
- WCF, Web Services, XML, JSON
- HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, Ajax
- SQL, stored procedures, logical db design
- Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, VSS, Photoshop/GIMP
- Microsoft Certification – MCP in Web Applications Development or WCF development
- Keep abreast of new solutions in industry
Work with the team:
- Communicate essential information, coordinate actions, obtain expert input
- Review open issues and action items
- Contribute information in team meetings
- Track project time daily in Basecamp
Be a team player:
- Contribute to the company by encouraging other team members
- Work to understand all elements of projects so that you can offer improvements
- Manage hardware and software on your own machine, help/get help from other team members
